In August 1992, hundreds of neo-nazi thugs attacked this building, which housed mainly asylum seekers from Romania. I didn’t see any monument here, no edifice to honour the victims of fascism. Maybe they want to forget.

I like Rostock. It feels like the sort of place where I could happily live.
