I’ve just ordered Celtic Dawn by Peter Berresford Ellis. Really enjoyed his book on the Celtic Revolution so looking forward to this next one arriving in the post.
The book itself is the same price on Amazon, and it was no inconvenience to buy it directly from Y Lolfa. I’m slightly conflicted about it though, because while I’m usually quite happy to accept that traditional publishers are dying out, I also feel glad to support a small Welsh-language printing house. Minority languages like Welsh have a difficult time surviving, and I don’t imagine Welsh publishing has an easy future, yet it would still be sad if they were to disappear. The tide of history is against them, but it’s comforting to think that when we all turn to communicating exclusively via emojis in virtual reality, there’s still going to be this bunch of people manually churning out paper volumes of Welsh dictionaries.
