On Thursday I went across to Birmingham for the 50th anniversary of the ‘battle of Saltley Gate’.
Arthur Scargill was there, he spoke for about an hour, followed by musicians from Banner Theatre.
Since I had the afternoon to spend in Birmingham, I went to go eat my sandwiches on the rooftop balcony of the central library.
